Click Here for the AZBTA By-Laws 2009 Revision The Arizona Business Travel Association (AZBTA) is the official local chapter of the National Business Travel Association (NBTA) that is dedicated to promoting a successful business travel community in Arizona. We are committed to broadening the knowledge of travel management professionals through providing programs to educate and motivate. Monthly meetings feature prominent industry leaders speaking on business travel-related topics, plus an opportunity for members to share ideas and get to know their peers. Each event provides members with an avenue for personal growth and professional development to help create successful, efficient travel programs. Meetings are on the third Wednesday of every month, including an annual charity benefit and educational events. Getting More Involved
Education: Coordinates the annual scholarship competition for the NBTA conference. Plans special activities and communicates educational resources. Meetings: Responsible for confirming meeting locations, which are inviting and effective. Hospitality subcommittee welcomes guests and insures registration process is successful. Membership: Encourages new member registration through coordinating membership drives. Welcomes new members, maintains membership database, development and distribution of directory. Philanthropy: Develops and plans the annual charity benefit. Subcommittee tasks include identifying a location and venue, requesting donations, securing entertainment, décor, budgeting, public relations and designing communication pieces. Programs: Plans and coordinates speakers for monthly meetings and special events. Distributes and tabulates program feedback surveys. Public Relations: Develops and distributes quarterly newsletter. Represents AZBTA to other local travel-related organizations. Writes news releases to increase coverage of AZBTA by local media. AZBTA President's Message
I'm honored and excited to be President of the Arizona Business Travel Association for 2009-2010. AZBTA provides an important forum for the exchange of information and education amongst its members, who include representatives from local corporations and leading travel industry suppliers. Our emphasis is on working together to promote and gain a better understanding of the new and ever-changing travel industry on a national and international level. AZBTA is committed to enhancing the travel and hospitality profession by sponsoring the latest in educational and networking opportunities for its members and is focused on perfecting the science of business travel management.
